China’s tallest building caught fire on the afternoon of August 14, 2007. The Shanghai World Financial Center, still under construction at the time of the fire, is expected to be 101 stories tall (1,614 ft) and is scheduled to be completed in 2008.
The fire started on the 40th floor, possibly caused by electric welding. The Chinese firefighters, equipped with ONE SEVEN® put out the fire in minutes.

Equipped with the ONE SEVEN® foam system by GIMAEX, the firefighters rose along the exterior walls of the building up to the 84th floor. Two minutes later, the foam was spraying down towards the 54th floor, and the fire was put out only two more minutes later. No casualties were reported. Reference: Shanghai Daily News
