Want to know the technical specifics? When a fire burns from a liquid fuel, the concentrated foam must contain fluorinated tensides in order to efficiently extinguish it. Fluorinated tensides are produced by the telemerications process. This is a Perfluoralkyl-Iodid with a shorter perfluoralkyl chain. This makes them readily biodegradable. None have ever been found in humans or the environment.
