GIMAEX takes the environmental effects of its products very seriously. That’s why we’re proud that our foam is such an efficient firefighting tool with a low consumption rate, and a high biodegradability. Imagine knowing that you are saving lives and property, and that you are using foam that has been certified to the exacting standards of the German pollution control agency. Our foam is 99.7% biodegradable.

Want to know the technical specifics? When a fire burns from a liquid fuel, the concentrated foam must contain fluorinated tensides in order to efficiently extinguish it. Fluorinated tensides are produced by the telemerications process. This is a Perfluoralkyl-Iodid with a shorter perfluoralkyl chain. This makes them readily biodegradable. None have ever been found in humans or the environment.
